Alternative Spring Break
The Leduc Center sponsors and/or organizes 2-3 alternative spring break trips each year to both domestic and international locations. Each trip has its own unique focus area, from sustainability to food security. Most trips feature service activities during the day, and bonding and exploring in the evenings.
First Saturdays of Service
First Saturdays of Service are community service events scheduled on the first Saturday of each month during the academic semester. These events are opportunities for students to engage in service with the surrounding communities of Dartmouth, Fall River, and New Bedford. The service events vary each month and transportation is provided.
Leduc Leaders is a program that combines community service with leadership training. Student who are selected for the position are required to complete 30 hours of community service, attend the First Saturdays of Service, and attend weekly leadership workshops/trainings. At the end of the semester, students are awarded a $250 stipend when they complete the program requirements.
SouthCoast Serves is a collaborative of community organizations facilitated by the Leduc Center that fosters service and volunteerism to meet the needs of our community by leveraging resources, expertise, and capacity to maximize impact.
